The main event: nine laps (about 108 km) of a roughly 12 km loop from Sosui Park in Yamashina, Kyoto, each with about 560 m of climbing (about 8 km of trail, 3 km of paved road and 1 km of forest road; high point about 400 m). Runners pass the venue aid station every lap, making it a good first 100 km, and run through the night.
