Also known as: Hanase Trail Run Long
The 35 km Long course of the Hanase Trail Run, starting and finishing at the Sanson Toshi Koryu no Mori in Hanase, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto, linking Mt. Chisero, the Hatchodaira wetland, the thatched-roof hamlet of Kuta and Mt. Minedoko. About 2,000 m of gain deep in the Kitayama mountains; an advanced category limited to 60 runners.
The course tops out at 970 m (low point 371 m). There are 3 big climbs: 453 m around 0–5 km; 600 m around 17–23 km; 343 m around 29–31 km. About 30% of the distance is gentle (under 5% grade).
