The ~22 km double course of the Nokogiriyama Trail Run: two laps of an ~11 km loop over Mt. Nokogiri (329 m) in Kanaya, Futtsu, Chiba, known for its old quarry walls and the stone stairs of Nihon-ji, starting and finishing at the former Kanaya Elementary School. Short but full of steps and steep climbs, with about 1,240 m of gain. Held in December and in spring.
The course tops out at 319 m (low point 4 m). There are 2 big climbs: 311 m around 0–3 km; 315 m around 12–14 km. About 30% of the distance is gentle (under 5% grade).
