Okumusashi Long Trail 2027
A loop of the Okumusashi Long Trail, created in 2021 largely by residents of five mountain districts of Hanno, Saitama. From Hanno Central Park it links Ne-no-Gongen, Mt. Bonoore, Mt. Izugatake, Kanhasshu Miharashidai and Kaburi Pass; the hills are low, but the climbs never let up.
The course tops out at 1,221 m (low point 116 m). There are 2 big climbs: 789 m around 26–38 km; 981 m around 42–54 km. The longest descent drops 713 m around 38 km at about 16% on average. Only about 20% is gentle (under 5% grade); most of it is climbing or descending. In 2026, 60% of starters finished. The median finish was about 30 h, through one night.
