Based at WACK Onagawa Stadium in Onagawa, Miyagi, the race runs a roughly 35 km circuit made of a south loop and a north loop. Part of the Michinoku Coastal Trail, the course looks out over the Pacific from Mt. Ishinage and Mt. Kuromori. This category covers two laps, south loop first.
The course tops out at 457 m (low point 3 m). There are 4 big climbs: 405 m around 8–11 km; 454 m around 18–25 km; 405 m around 43–47 km; 454 m around 54–60 km. About 40% of the distance is gentle (under 5% grade). In 2025, 77% of starters finished. The median finish was about 15 h, through one night.
