A lap-format trail race at a former quarry (Hoshiakari Yamabiko) west of Katsuragahama on Kurahashi Island, Kure, Hiroshima. Runners aim for 35 laps of a 2.9 km course with 287 m of climbing per lap (101.5 km and 10,045 m in total) within 30 hours. Falling short of 35 laps is not a disqualification: the laps you complete are recorded. The single aid station is at the venue, passed every lap. Until 2025 the event was held as GGR-solo-24h.
The course tops out at 259 m (low point 24 m). Only about 10% is gentle (under 5% grade); most of it is climbing or descending. In 2026, 15% of starters finished — a tough one. The median finish was about 27 h, through one night.
